Am Montag habe ich mich auf den weiten Weg in Richtung Mau begeben. Fünf Minuten später stand ich auch schon davor, zusammen mit ca. 20 Leuten in Dropkick Murphys-Outfit. Insgesamt waren knapp 100 Leute an diesem Montag Abend zu einer schnellen, aber weitestgehend langweiligen Punkrockshow aufgebrochen.
Die Radio Dead Ones, Vorband aus Berlin lieferten eine rotzige Punk-Rocknroll Show, die mich die meiste Zeit an die Distillers erinnerte, leider ohne Brody und ohne demonstratives AufdieBühnespucken. Anstelle dessen gab der Sänger nicht wenig Sinnfreies von sich.
Die Street Dogs aus Boston legten wenig später los. Ich habe selten einen Sänger mit so schlechtem Kauwerkzeug gesehen. Gruselige schwarze Ruinenlandschaft. Der Sound war ausgesprochen gut, ein 15 Mann Pit moshte vor sich hin, teilweise doch sehr textsicher, auf die Circlepit-Aufforderungen wurde konsequent nicht reagiert, aber man war ja auch mit Boxen genug beschäftigt. Insgesamt also irgendwie nichtshalbesundnichtsganzes.

Das Video stammt aus der Zugabe dieses sehr guten Konzerts bei dem ich ein wenig Gänsehaut am Anfang hatte. "It's good to have them back!" Setlist

Shai Hulud im Cassiopeia

Das neue blaue Spielzeug musste gleich herhalten. Um 16 Uhr vom Autohaus abgeholt und um 20 Uhr schon im eisig kalten Berlin. Shai Hulud hatte sich im Cassiopeia angekündigt. Nach der zweiten Vorband, To Kill aus Rom, ging es auch schon los. Leider kam, so sehr sich die Band auch abmühte, keine richtig gute Stimmung auf. Vielleicht war's zu kalt draußen.
